I love these visuals. I'm glad your full days of work are fulfilling, and that you are making a move, and that you have time with friends. I enjoy your photos, but honestly, I also really enjoy your "rants." Have a good week, Nadine!

That's very kind of you! I will continue the rants, don't worry, I can't stop myself 😂

Love the pics and the walkthrough. What's going on in Mexico right now is scary stuff. When people put down the pen to pick up the sword in an attempt to be heard, I'm always struck. Stay safe! Thank you for the invitation to share. I spent 21 days in Nicaragua and learned a ton while I was building a kitchen there. Really impacted my life in so many ways.

I'm happy you know a little about it too, so we can commiserate with no more than those words: I feel you.

I saw your 3 weeks in Nicaragua! I can only imagine coming back being both comforting and saddening, an emotional rollercoaster...?

Twelve-hour days are no joke, Nadine.

Huge respect!

Glad you’ve found spots like that cafe where you can relax and work at your own pace.

LOL at Toast’s biscuit making skills…

Wishing you a good week ahead.

I keep telling myself "just one more week" and waiting for all of Europe to go on holiday lol does that happen in your jobs too?

Toast is an award-winning biscuit maker and jumper destroyer. Has Ariel hopped up on your legs yet to give you a lap massage?

Nope she has not. I am deathly afraid of them to be honest. They are so unpredictable plus their teeth lol

The most they have done so far is eat from my hands.

I can't believe that!! With your stories I thought you were confident around them.

A squirrel did nip my finger when I gave it some nuts from my hand once but I didn't die of rabies so it's a happy ending 😆

deathly afraid was a bit dramatic. 😆😆

I’m just cautious around them, and they’re the same with me. Can’t blame them, though. Most humans chase or scare them off.

Also, yikes, rabies isn’t that common. I know the internet says otherwise, but it’s actually pretty rare.

Fun to take a peek into your life! No rain at your place in July?! :)

I put all the rain videos on TikTok... Plenty of material for it and the locals love to tell me I "should have checked the weather before coming" so it gives my reach a real boost ;)

This is literally the most beautiful visuals I’ve seen on Substack today and I have no idea what phone or camera you use, but it’s insanely amazing Nadine.

As for my week, I spent it delivering my new books to stores across town, and I barely took any pictures and I also stocked my house with food. I'm.a bug foodie so yes! I went to the local market to get some fresh fruits too.

But I’m not interested in me. I’m interested in you and I’m interested in seeing more of this. That’s why I’m here. I’m all for it.

That is so kind! It's a Samsung from 2021 so it's doing well to have survived this long...

Delivering your books? Can you drop a link so I can see one?

Love thinking of you in Mexico City. I am interested in the hotel, the first photo. Thanks for posting!

Me too! I wish I could show you pictures inside, such an interesting building but it's really unassuming from outside, even the door is hidden by trees:
